Today was a normal weekend day for us. Paul went grocery shopping for us this morning while I stayed here and got the girls ready for the day. Abigail absolutely loves tubby time. She splashes the water so fiercely the water splashes like 3 feet across the bathroom. It is so much fun.
When Paul got back home from shopping we had some lunch and then very slowly tried to decide what we wanted to do. We ended up going to SACO WORLD the new, gigantic hardware store that is in Dhahran Mall right outside the compound. It's really a nice store and it has a lot of things you may need for your home and garden. We will probably buy our patio set there when we get to that point.
Today I wanted to go look at their blinds. I having been thinking some verticle blinds would be better on our sliding door than curtains are. The curtains collect dust and cat hair and make it more dusty in the house. It's also cleaner looking I think... I don't know. I might use some curtains for decor purposes once we get some kind of window covering. It has been a hard thing for me to decide on. I also want to put blinds on the windows in the playroom and in our room and the girls room.
Unfortuantely, NONE of the window treatments at SACO are tall enough to cover our sliding glass door/window. Even the shades don't unroll enough - according to our measurements. So, now we are on the lookout for some other place that might be able to help us. It's slow going, but it's not a big deal.
Both the girls fell asleep on the way home, so we let them nap a bit while I made some dinner. After dinner the girls were ready to party and Paul was ready to sleep, so Paul went to bed at 8:00 pm. It was a good thing. He hasn't gotten much sleep the past few nights because of the girls and his dedication to waking up at 5 am to go workout before work.
The girls and I had a "girl's night in." We danced, we put on lip gloss, and we had graham crackers and milk and watched Rango - a very strange movie. I didn't really like it. It was weird. Not really for kids, abd Madeline lost interest quick. Oh well, I guess they can't all be like A Bug;s Life (one of her faves).
