It's A Girl!!

Today was my 20 week ultra sound! Everything looked perfect - she is healthy and all her parts are working properly. Yes, I said "her"... we found out we are having a little girl!!! I am so happy I cannot wipe this perma-grin off of my face.

We're still deciding on names... So far our favorites (and the names I have dibs on) are:
Madeline Elizabeth
Madeline Olivia
Madeline Sue
Lilian (Lily) Elizabeth

I also like the names Lucy, Molly, Iris, and Violet... Of course we still have about 20 weeks to make that decision and really we won't truly know her name until we see her.

Here are some pictures. You can click on them to get a better look if you want. We also got a video of the ultra sound but I am not sure what format it is in and I can't get it to work so Paul is gonna have to do that for me when he gets home.

Here she is just hangin' out...
I thought this was a pretty cute profile picture so I blew it up a little.

A better view of her profile. She is beautiful!!

This is the crotch shot. It's definitely a girl!

Here she is again...

and again...

Look at her wittle feet!

She loves working out.
This is her doing the "bicycle kick". She's upside down pumpin' those legs.

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I had a feeling I was having a little girl. I have been excited, but now things are so much more real. I feel an enormous bond with my little girl and I am starting to feel like I've known her for a really long time. This feeling is indescribable. I am overjoyed!

She IS beautiful! Molly and Lucy are both lovely names...and both names of my nieces!

I do love Madison Olivia though; it sounds like a proper and sweet little girl's name.

Congratulations!!!!!

Congrats on the news of a girl! Having a little princess of your own is such fun!

You have fabulous taste when it comes to names, I must say. I have a Madeline of my own (just spelled different), and if our #3 was a girl, I really wanted to use Lilly (if not for the first name, definitely for the middle name). I also love Olivia.

April,
I know Dave's two girls are named Molly and Lucy. I was so surprised when he announced Lucy - being that I already loved his choice with Molly's name. He just has excellent taste in names. I really love the name Michael and Jacob for boys too and I know Dawn has boys with those names.
Thank you Kim! Yes, all I really cared about was that the baby was healthy, but I must say I am SO excited to have a little girl. Kitty and I have one more player for the ladies team! hahaha I've always pictured Paul with a daughter. It's going to be so fun to see him with her.

Edith, you are going to be such a fantastic mom! My favorite names from your list are Violet and Molly.

But seriously, have you considered Cinterina? That's the name John and I were saving for a girl, but we're almost certain we won't have one, so it's up for grabs. John came up with it himself. He's so great with poetry--words and sounds--don't you think?

Edith-

You will love having a girl! I have two and cannot imagine what life with a boy would be like. My good friend just named her third Violet--love that name. She also has a Lilly. Both would be great choices in my opinion (not that it matters.) Good luck choosing!

Awe, a little girl. I remember you liking some of those names when we were younger. Now you are really thinking about it and it's so real. How amazing. I'm so excited for you. And about the last name thing...that was not done on purpose, I apologize for any grief that may have come your way. I'm sorry.

Cinterina is very different, it is kind of nice. John really is great with words and sounds :)
