Paul and I have been doing A LOT of spending in preparation for the little wee babe who will be entering our lives soon. We've tried to be "thrifty" about it. Shopping for the best price, seeing if there are any deals or discounts in our mailbox. You know how some stores will have a "50% off the entire stock" sale or something? We always look for those.
Sometimes, they fool you though. Stores like JcPenney, for example, they will have a coupon for something in their newsletter sitting right there infront of you and if you don't see it or ask about it you just miss out - the little devils.
Anyway, because of this, Paul has started asking EVERYWHERE WE GO if there are any discounts.
So we are at the Hobby Lobby this past Saturday buying a scrapbook for the baby and we get up to the counter and Paul says,
"Do you have any discounts or sales going on?"
And the lady looked at him strangely and said,
"No sir. But if we did I would tell you about it."
And Paul said,
"Oh okay."
Then when we were done with the transaction, she said,
"Have a great day!!"
Paul said real softly,
"It'd be better if I had a discount"
We laughed and laughed and laughed about that. Don't you love when something makes you laugh so hard that later on, when the event has ended and you are doing something else you can think of the experience again and then laugh more? I was laughing most of the day every time I thought of that. It was friggin' hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my husband.

I love that! I think maybe I'll try that. That reminds me of Nathan for some reason, I can see him saying that to someone and actually getting it, he just has this way about him, don't you agree?
I am so glad you guys have a talent for making me laugh!!! Brian has that same ability. He gives me the gift of the "giggles" regularly- boy life would be dull without it.
