The Cute Pink Chair

One thing I wish me and Paul had gotten Madeline for Christmas is her own little chair. We had originally planned on getting her the Elmo says.... spin! chair, but after a trip to the toy store to do some consumer testing before we purchased it, it turned out to be kind of cheap and too low to the ground. So we ended up getting her a couple of other things.

I found this cute pink chair online at Target and I am thinking of trying to talk Paul into maybe getting it for Madeline for Valentines day or something. This is the dilemma: He's not going to be too excited about this because the chair is $120.
I just know she would love it, but then I start thinking things like... "does she really need a chair? If she wants to sit down she can always sit on the floor. Or, maybe she could sit by us on the regular couch with a little help getting up of course."

But how cute would it be to see her sitting in it reading her books or watching her show? It would be ridiculously cute, that's how cute it would be. I don't know, maybe it could be a present for her birthday in September... birthdays hold a bit more validity.

I should probably stop thinking of ways to spend money and try thinking of more ways to save money. Man, sometimes I really dislike common sense a reasoning.

BUY THE CHAIR!!! :) It's positively adorable and what better to go with an adorable little lady than an adorable little chair?? Think of all the cute photo opps! The chair would definitely be well used and probably become a treasured heirloom that she will pass on to her little darlings someday (see if that story flies with Paul- it might work ;). Regarding "sense and reason", I hate it too- particluarly when it comes to stupid MONEY! Dreaming of ways to SPEND money (particularly money we DON'T have) is one of my favorite pastimes. Dream away Edith, Dream away.
