Edith By Any Other Name

I think if I were to change my name, I would go with,

Autumn Rain

Let me explain. I love Autumn. I love, love, love the rain. I wouldn't change my last name because I love my husband and also I am now in the middle. I spent my entire life up until we were married being at the END of the alphabet. Always last to be called... sigh. Plus, how cool would the initials A.R.M. be?

No, I am not a hippy. I just think it's pretty. What would you change your name to?

I'm A Sucker For Infommercials.

Have you ever bought anything that has its own infomercial?

Oh boy have I ever! I purchased the juiceman juicer, the shark steamer, Nads hair remover, the Shamwows, Proactive... I'm a sucker.

I love my juicer... it has been a wonderful purchase. I've made everything from beet-apple-carrot-orange-spinach juice to plain ol' OJ. It's been a while since I've used it though... I should break that baby out.

The shark steamer is okay, but not if you have floors that aren't perfectly smooth. I lilke that you can add smelly stuff to the water so the steam smells good. Not sure if you're even supposed to do that, but I do.

Nads hair removal was this waxy stuff you could buy and put on your bod to remove hair. I think it was made in Australia or something? I bought it purely for the name... I thought it was hilarious to say I had nads on my legs. It didn't work.

The shamwows are okay. We just bought them recently. The husband calls them "scam-wows".

Proactive - it works... you just have to keep buying it and use it religiously to see results. I'm too lazy for that. Thankfully my adult acne issue resolved on its own. Must've been a stress thing for going back to school and moving to Tennessee. I found a tea tree oil facial cleanser that works really well for me.

Have any of you purchased anything from an infomercial before?

You'll Find These Magazines Atop My Toilet

FYI: You won't find ANY magazine atop my toilet because people pee, poo, and wipe thier stink shoot in that room and I don't want poopy on my magazines.

Parents: I got a free subscription offer when I was pregant. It's mostly ads, but some good articles and helpful advice about what to do with your kids... which is good since I am a first timer in the mom department.

AORN: The Association of Operating Room Nurses is a magazine I get monthly because I paid for a membership to the AORN organization. I was told that you should always belong to the organization of your profession by someone I consider to be very smart. I don't ever have time to read it though. Maybe someday I'll have a chance to look at them.

Ladies home Journal: Another magazine I didn't pay for. I don't even remember signing up for it - I don't think I did. I think it came free as a special offer for getting Parents magazine for free. It to is filled mostly with ads.

I should probably cancel all of them and save a tree.

I'll sing these songs at a karaoke bar any day

Ironic by Alanis

I LOVE all the weird tones and talking she does in this song. Especially the part where she says, "a little toooooo I-ronic... I really do think"

Bohemian Rapsody by Queen

Skalamooge skalamooge do you do the fan-dango?

Yeah by Usher

All you have to do is say "yeah" over and over. The rest of the time, I'd dance cause this one is SO FUN to boogie down to.

When I started using the Internet

I was attending a community college and was supposed to be in the library writing a paper for my English class but instead began chatting online with random strangers. I met Paul and never looked back. I was on every day until we got married two and a half years later.
