Have you ever bought anything that has its own infomercial?Oh boy have I ever! I purchased the juiceman juicer, the shark steamer, Nads hair remover, the Shamwows, Proactive... I'm a sucker.
I love my juicer... it has been a wonderful purchase. I've made everything from beet-apple-carrot-orange-spinach juice to plain ol' OJ. It's been a while since I've used it though... I should break that baby out.
The shark steamer is okay, but not if you have floors that aren't perfectly smooth. I lilke that you can add smelly stuff to the water so the steam smells good. Not sure if you're even supposed to do that, but I do.
Nads hair removal was this waxy stuff you could buy and put on your bod to remove hair. I think it was made in Australia or something? I bought it purely for the name... I thought it was hilarious to say I had nads on my legs. It didn't work.
The shamwows are okay. We just bought them recently. The husband calls them "scam-wows".
Proactive - it works... you just have to keep buying it and use it religiously to see results. I'm too lazy for that. Thankfully my adult acne issue resolved on its own. Must've been a stress thing for going back to school and moving to Tennessee. I found a tea tree oil facial cleanser that works really well for me.
Have any of you purchased anything from an infomercial before?

One purchase and one purchase only...RONCO KNIVES!!!! They work ok I guess, in case you were wondering :) Anyway, my sister buys alot of exercise dvds and one time they sent her an extra Turbo Jam dvd and the company told her to keep it- so she gave it to me....that was pretty cool. The end. I am curious about your juicer? I want one. Was it cheaper than going to a department store? NOW, for real, the end!
You just reminded me of ANOTHER thing I'e bought... THE FIRM workout system. It came with weights... pretty cool.
I bought the juicer so long ago I honestly have no idea on the price comparison between TV and dpt. stores.
Jas and I WANT a magic bullet. We watch the infomercial all the time. I did get caught in a weak moment by a door to door salesman who was selling cleaning products. She appealed to my ego by telling me how clean my house was, etc, etc...$40 later I had a pretty good cleaner that lasted a long time.
I can't say that I have ever purchased anything like that, but know that my sister in law has bought a lot of things and some were really worth the money and others were crap! I love what your hubby said about the Sham wow's. I see that commercial all the time!
Michelle,
well at least it's nice that you were able to USE the cleaners! :)
lets see, its late so I'm not sure if I can remember everything, some things that come to mind are the shark iron, billy blanks taebo (probably not even spelling it right)and boot camp, winsor pilates, GT xepress 101, the revostyler, I bought a richard simmons food mover, the one that cost the most is by far "meaningful beauty", by Cindy Crawford, they send some products every 3 months and take money out every month! I'm sure there are others...
