A Treasure Discovered.

Today two of our best friends, Misty and Brooke, came over to hang out and Misty had the awesome idea to take the girls out for a walk. We had planned on going to a park originally today but cancelled those plans because it had been so windy most of the day. It was still slightly windy, but it was really nice out and we were feeling a bit "confined" so we got the girls ready to go. They were both very excited to get out.

The original plan was just to walk around the streets of our neighborhood - we live near a dog park, a recycling center, and the humane society. It's a big neighborhood with wide, quiet streets, and not much traffic at all. After we visited the dog park (which was actually just a small field with a fence around it) we travelled across the street and off in the distance we saw this...

Yes! A Park! All this time Paul and I had no idea that we have a small park in walking distance from our house!! It's a cute little playground with beautiful tall trees surrounding it and a not-so-long walkway going around the small playground. The playground has very nice equipment on it, including TWO baby swings. Perfect!

It really turned out to be a great walk and I'm glad they decided to stop by today because, not only did we have a great time just hanging out, but we discovered a treasure. I look forward to more good times at our very own park.
