The universe is giving us one more chance to use the snowsuit we bought Madeline in December, and right at the time that it just barely fits her. Yay! From the beginning of the experience Mads didn't like the idea...
But how is she to know how fun snow is? So,we went outside to let Madeline touch the snow and to build a snowman. She's not ready for cold weather and snow. This was the extent of "smiles" when we were outside...
So we headed inside not long after we went out. Oh well, we tried. Maybe next year?
Edith: "Babe, the wind is kind of cold. It's making Madeline's eyes water... she's not having fun. I think I'm gonna go inside"
Paul: Rolling a big snowball across the backyard, "So, do I need to keep doing this then?"
Edith: "No, I guess not. At least we TRIED to build a snowman. We should at least take a picture of what we have done."
Paul: "Okay."
Edith: "Here," handing Paul the camera, "You take a picture of your balls, I'm gonna take Madeline inside."

Mads DID have fun after we got back inside though... she LOVES scarves, so it wasn't a total loss.

Julia didn't care much for her first snow either. She sat there in the snow, just looking up.
