Madeline hates wearing socks... it has been that way for a couple months now. No matter what I put on her feet, she somehow eventually gets it off. So I've been looking for something I can put on her that she will have a harder time getting off that will keep her warm.
I've investigated those baby leg warmer thingy's - I like those a lot, they're cute, and I'll probably make some for Madeline (I'm not gonna pay $12 for some cut off socks when I can do it myself), but they don't have the foot part on them, at least the ones I've seen. Those leg warmer things gave me an idea though...

She's wearing MY fuzzy warm socks as leggings. They fit her perfect right now... right up to the thigh. She can be mobile, she's warm, it's easy to change her diaper... we're all happy!
Paul thinks she looks like one of those mythological creatures, a satyr, like that character on Narnia...
She just needs the ears, the horns, the tail, and the scarf.

Ha! You are thrifty and clever, AND a costume designer!
Those are a great choice. Sawyer's socks always seem to come off as well.
