Throughout the last couple of weeks Madeline has already changed so much. She is growing at a rapid rate - Very healthy and already 10 pounds at her first pediatrician appointment on Wednesday morning.
Just in the last couple of days she has changed her eating and sleeping habits slightly. She east less often (now about ever 3-4 hours instead of every 1-2 hours eating and sleeping 3-4 hours at night). The Nurse in me has a hard time with change and new symptoms of growth - I sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with my baby. There isn't. She is just growing. So I usually tell paranoid patty to take a hike!!
We've been doing really well adjusting to life with a daughter. She sleeps and eats and poops most of the time, but she is already a lot of fun. She smiles (and it's not always gas) a lot. She smiles really big and sometimes even breaks out into a laugh when she is sleeping. She moans and makes a lot of noise when she sleeps. I thought this was really cool since I moan when I sleep sometimes.
Paul really enjoys reading to her. Of course, we need more books. We only have 3 books right now. I am working on that.
Maddy's face seems to change every day. I think she looks more like her momma. There has only been one time that I have looked at her and thought she looked like her dad.
According to this look-alike meter, she looks EQUALLY like mom and dad.
I also think she looks a lot like my mom, one of my nephews baby pictures, and our niece Amanda - it just depends on the picture.
Oh and she also, apparently, looks like Leo DiCaprio, Gisele Bundchen, and Keanu Reeves... so, who knows really.
All we know is, she is still perfect and we are having the time of our lives. I love being a mommy.
