These are Madeline's hospital pictures. My child is, indeed, beautiful beyond measure. It's fun that she is so awake and looking straight at the camera. The proofs that were shown to us right after they were taken were awesome. We were really excited that her pictures had turned out so great!
So when we got them in the mail like THIS, I was pretty mad. Two of them are overly contrasted. So much, that Madeline looks like a Spanish/Asian baby. Don't get me wrong, I love Spanish/Asian babies. Yes Madeline has nice skin and dark hair - but it's not tan skin, and it's not black hair like these pictures portray. And then look at the third one... HELLO?? Is there a reason her hands and head are cut off in this picture?????? Did someone get a little zoom-crazy?? And can you even tell the blanket she is wrapped in is pink???!
Paul and I paid a pretty penny for these pictures. They wouldn't allow us to just get one of each... we had to go with a package. And of course in the packages you can only use ONE picture, so if you want copies of the others you have to pay an arm and a leg to get a copy of them. For the price we paid, I was expecting perfection, ya know? I mean, I could have done them myself with my camera and made them look better using photoshop!
I still love these pictures because they are of my little girl. I just think if a company is going to go around spouting crap about how professional they are and then we get photos of this quality, it shouldn't be so expensive.

She is so cute and I love the pic. you posted on your blog of her. I'm sorry the pictures didn't turn out the way you hoped. Do you get a refund or a new set or something? Have you called and complained? If you want I'll do it for you, I love to say the word "unacceptable" to other people.
That is too bad that they did not turn out the way you were hoping. You are lucky though that your hospital did pictures still. Jordan Valley in WJ does not do infant pictures anymore and I was sad we didnt get first hospital pictures of the twins! Owell.
Flip she is ADOrABle!!!!! Sorry about the pics though. We didn't even purchase Hannah's hospital pics- or Gracies for that matter. Let's just say I am FAR more confident in the competency of the doctors and nurses at our local hospital then I am the so called "photographers" They do a horrible job here. And while there is NO WAY ON EARTH a picture with my beautiful girls could ever look BAD, let's just say if they are going to take my ARM AND LEG for payment....well they better pony up with some TOTALLY AWESOME INCREDIBLE FANTASTIC pictures...and they just don't. LONG STORY OVER! :) Anyway, good luck. If you aren't satisfied and don't want to go to the hassle of complaining- I would take Amber up on her offer ;)
I didn't even let them take Jacob's pics and Michael, well they didn't have time to take them. I bought Avery's and had the same kind of disappointment. It's such a racket, but they have you after your hormones are all crazy and you have this new amazing little baby and you're like, YES! I NEEED these! She looks so cute, though!
I just wanted to tell you, if you were still interested in cloth diapering I found a GREAT deal on ebay.. they run about $6/each but I love them! They're called coolababy. They're pockets so daycare shouldn't mind them.
Amb, you are hilarious!! You love to say "unacceptable" to people, ha!!
Yeah, it's not sounding like many have had good experiences with hospital baby photos. Note to self, don't do it next time.
Thanks Dawn! I will check that out.
