Stuff Maddy Says...

Some potty humor: Maddy on the toilet this morning...
*tinkle.... tinkle...... (pause) *more tinkle.... tinkle-tinkle-tinkle....* 5 minutes pass
Me: "Mads, are you done yet?"
Madeline: "Sorry Mom, I drank a lot of water this year."

Madeline is really good at delaying the final goodnight, but tonight was a stretch. After 3 stories, 2 bathroom visits, looking at the rain, praying, singing a song, and counting our fingers...

Mads:"One more thing mom..."
Me: "what Madeline?"
Mads: "rainbow unicorn hair... is beautiful."
Me: "I totally agree. Goodnight. I love you."

 Maddy (playing with her ponies): You get back here pinky pie! One... two.... three... don't make me say four... five... six... seven... eight... etc. etc.

Maddy and I had a nice Mommy-Daughter date today. We went to the Farmer's Market; saw some friends; snacked on raw chocolate, strawberry milk, and a pomegranate; and stopped by the commissary where Madeline got to observe, first hand, what another child looks like when they tantrum and act like an uncontrollable, flailing, maniac.
She then said, "I don't want to look like that Momma." It was a nice afternoon.

Maddy (to one of the workers): "Are you digging for treasure?"
