Thanksgiving 2012

I don't know what it is about this year, but everything seems to be going at light speed. I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone.

The food was FABULOUS as usual. This year Fiona made the turkey and it was really good - along with her famous corn casserole, which is quickly becoming a necessary tradition - I love that stuff.

yummy, juicy turkey

Not even sure what this is, but look at the color! Yum!

My creamy, buttery mashed potatoes

Kasondra's homemade, traditional noodles. Yummy with turkey or potatoes or a roll... whatever!

Melt in your mouth pot roast.

Stuffing... this is some goooood stuff.
There was a TON of good food (some not shown). We had some yummy desserts too - traditional pumpkin pie, my lemon merigue pie, and my fruit kabob turkey (shown above). All very delish!!

The best part - the comfortable feeling I have with these people. We had a great time, as usual. We have really established a nice relationship with good friends here in Saudi Arabia - a nice feeling when you are used to being surrounded by family.  I love that we have celebrated Thanksgiving with these people 3 times now, and that our children know, and love each other. And I love that we have a holiday where we can focus on all of the many, unbelievable blessings in our lives while we stuff our faces with delicious food!!

We are truly blessed!!
