Nothing really too exciting to report for this week.

Since I'm not in nursing school this summer (I go back August 28th), and I am able to have nails, So, I got my nails done a couple days ago.

The little lady who did my nails was very sweet. Her name was Kim and her and her family, who all work at the nail salon, were speaking a different language to each other. She was very excited that I was a new customer, and extremely anxious for my to return when it was time to get a "fill". She said,
"You new customer?"
"Yes." I said.
"Ahhh here my card, you come back in two week! My name Kim, what your name?" As she smiled widely and patted me on my shoulder...haha it was cute.

I can't have the nails when I go back to school, so I might not go back to the salon, but it was fun. I usually don't get my nails done.

The school of nursing at the university I attend doesn't allow long or fake nails, because it causes problems when you're working with patients. I agree with them completely. It's hard getting an IV in someone's arm with my normal short nails, I can't imagine trying to get one in with these babies in the way. Also, it's easier to transfer bacteria when you have long nails cause the bacteria have a place to hide when you have long nails. So, as a nurse, I probably won't have long nails later on down the road either.

wow this is really interesting...

We're starting to look at houses. Every week I go to the grocery store and get those "home buying" magazines - they're free. We're actually thinking of calling a realtor to show us a few. I still need to read the book we bought a few weeks ago - "Home Buying For Dummies" by Eric Tyson & Ray Brown - so I can understand more about this house buying business. I don't want to appear ignorant on the matter, and I don't want anyone taking advantage of us!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

I love getting nails, it's rare, around Christmas ususally, but it's fun. House shopping! It's some complicated stuff. Scott was up late for more then a week doing his "house" homework. It's great to own your own home, problems and all! Good luck I'm so excited for you!
