Since the joyous day of our union, there has been... Monopoly.
A game, that for some reason, brings out the "spirit" of competition in us both.
The first game we ever played together, Edith had a tantrum, and we weren't able to finish.
Usually, after the hours and hours of extreme joy or tragic sorrow, we take a break from playing... anywhere from a month to a year, depending on the level of irritation the game caused the players.
So far, 4 1/2 years of marriage... 14 games.
Edith = 7 times winner
Paul = 7 times winner
Edith remembers May 11th, 2004 - the blissful day she obliterated me 3 games to nothing!
I remember a few of the times Edith won that I had refrained from purchasing properties when I caught the sad, desperate look in her eyes. She denies this help to this day.
But today, July 16th, 2006, after 3 days of voluminous bloodshed, a day I will call "The Spousal Massacre", I won. My winnings - $65,726.00.

Boardwalk, Parkplace, Pennsylvania Avenue... yellow ones, red ones, even the ghetto... they were ALL MINE!!!
The next battle date is yet to be determined. Edith claims to be emotionally distraught, and will need time to recover from her lightheadedness due to excessive bloodshed.

MaN!! I'm sorry Edith! Paul, good job. Scott and I have never played Monoploy. I think that Scott would cry too much from loosing.
