Home For The Holidays

Every year since Paul and I have been married, we have travelled for the holidays. Since most people have a lot of time off around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years we feel it is the best time to go home. Plus there is just something about Christmas time... the snow, the togetherness, the fairy princess sparkling spiritedness of it all.

This year, for many reasons, we had decided we were staying in Tennessee for the holidays. A new little baby is hard to travel with. Also Paul, we thought, was out of vacation time (turns out he still has some time he has to use before Jan.). Plus both Paul and I were working fulltime and earlier in the year when we normally would have purchased tickets we didn't because we thought our schedules would clash.

We are excited that we now DO get to go home to New York for a few days this year (Dec. 25-28). It was a last minute decision, but thanks to our wonderful family there, it is possible and I think it will be okay. Madeline did great on our trip home to Utah in November, and with Paul's help the plane ride should be cake. Plus it will be nice for our NY family since many of them haven't seen Madeline in person yet.

This is Madeline trying on her new hat and getting ready for the trip.
