Apparently because of the Earth’s slowing rotation, another second will be added to our clocks this year. The leap second will be added at 6:59:59 p.m. on Dec. 31.
So for those of you who complain there isn't enough time in the day... you can thank the International Consortium of Time Keepers for a little extra time.
