Excuse my previous post. I guess I jumped the gun a little.
So, we decided that right now isn't the best time to get another car. It will cost us less to pay the ridiculous charge to get BERTHA (Big Evil Ridiculous Totally Horrible Automobile) fixed than to invest in a new car right now and it will get me transportation to work sooner than later. I really really really want a newer, nicer car but sometimes what we want is not what is best at the moment. Grrr.
An attempt to be positive:
At least we HAVE a car. At least we have money to pay to get it fixed and a place to live and food to eat. Compared to most people in the world we are millionaires. I need to be thankful for my life and for all I have because we really are blessed.
Someday my prince (car) will come.

That is too funny. When Jas and I got married we bought a Stanza which we took on our honeymoon. We had to stop every mile or so and dump some oil in. Then a week after our honeymoon we totaled it because there was a bee in the car. (Long story.) Anyway, long story short, total the car and make some money on it. Then you can get a newer one. Ha ha!!
Well your right atleast you get it fixed and will have a car to still get around in for awhile longer, atleast till you can have the car of your dreams!
