Improving Ourselves

Can you tell what's different about Madeline? Yes, that's right... she is wearing a new onsie.

Yesterday Madeline and I went digging through the upstairs closet to find my old workout DVD's and weights (we also found an old Halloween wig and had a good time dressing up). I bought 'THE FIRM' workout system a while ago and never got into it because we found out little Madeline was coming. So I'm going to give it a try! We also have a lovely elliptical that is taking up space in our rec room upstairs... it's about time that baby be used again.

Today, as they say, is the first day of the rest of my life. Today, I begin working out regularly. This is something I should have been doing all along, but we all know how life is and how easy it is to make excuses for ourselves. I want to feel good in the morning and at night. I want to be able to get up from a chair or a couch without feeling achy or without my hip or knee cracking... yes this happens to me sometimes and it's pathetic. I want to be that woman they make comments about,

"SHE has children? Well she certainly doesn't look like it. She looks like a healthy, voluptuous fashion model."

Have I taken some of those ridiculous before pictures? Yes. Will you ever see them? No. They're for me. I will keep you up to date on my progress though because it's exciting!!

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo me!!

I hear you!My kids are almost 7 months old and I still have a little more weight to lose from the pregnancy.. I have the worst will power and need someone to kick me in the butt and get me going! I have heard that the work out video from the "Biggest loser" is really good and I may go buy one and try that! Thanks for the reminder that I need to get my butt up and start excersising better! Good luck to you..

May the force be with you my friend!!! I already admitted a few posts ago that I was a failure at the whole dieting thing, I admire your desire and follow through... I'm rooten for ya. Once I have this baby I intend to attempt it also. Oh and BTW I LOVE your new page header(Is that what it's called?! I love the bright colors and flowers and the pictures of you and Madi are darling!! You have inspired me to put something fun on mine... time to move past the safeness of a plain page header!!

Thank you for the vote of confidence ladies... may the force be with you as well!!
Thanks Stacey! I did the new header in photoshop last night. I wanted something more colorful. You can download free photoshop brushes from the internet. They have some really cute ones out there.
